The wood of Coastline redwood is distinctively red. In species which present a definite distinction between heartwood and sapwood the natural colour of heartwood is often darker than that on the sapwood, and really commonly the contrast is conspicuous (see segment of yew log over).Cedar could be dearer than pine or poplar, but its toughness and r
